1776

In a new twist for the fall production, North Penn High School Theatre is presenting the award-winning MUSICAL about the writing and signing of the Declaration of Independence: 1776. 

With an award-winning book by Peter Stone and music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards, 1776 captures the hot, tension-filled, and inspiring days from May 8th through July 4th when America's colonial leaders debated whether to separate from England and become a free and independent nation. Our Founding Fathers become very human men struggling to do what had never been done before in the history of humankind - break from a mother country and found a new nation - in this brilliant show that is both humorous and riveting. The debates, arguments, and decisions of these men are still part of our country's quest to preserve our democracy.  Experience 1776 in a way you have never done before from November 9, 10, & 11 at 7:30 PM and November 12 at 2:00 PM!
